HOLIDAYS WITH OUR CARD
= More products and experiences for less money
Loads of experiences and cheaper attractions for more holidayers. No, this is not a dream or a long-term plan. This is reality available for visitors to the region of the High Tatras not only in the summer season. They just need to spend at least one night in the region and will get a key to attractive discounts – the regional TATRY CARD.
What makes the TATRY CARD interesting?
The regional card helps guests save quite nice amounts of money. When a family stays in the region for one week for example, they can save up to several hundreds of Euros, which will make their wallet happy for sure. And getting the Tatry Card is really easy. Holidayers get it free at the reception of their accommodation facility along with an information brochure that contains a complete list of discounts and benefits the card offers. Unlike most cards on the market, this card is free of charge and our clients don´t need to go anywhere to pick it up. The TATRY Card is now available for guests staying at contracting accommodation facilities at the foot of the High Tatras as well - for 1 €/person/stay.
Is the card available for clients who don´t stay in the Tatras?
The TATRY CARD is not an over-the-counter product so its benefits are available only for guests staying in the region. It´s a kind of reward for choosing our destination. A way of saying thank you. Tourists get the card free of charge at the reception desk of “their” accommodation facility. It is really easy. One needs to stay at an accommodation facility that is a contractual partner of ours. Once completing all necessary formalities at the reception desk and receiving the room key, every guest is given the “key” to attractive discounts. There are many modern hotels, family guest houses but also cosy suites or weekend chalets involved in our project.
What benefits and discounts are available for the clients?
There is a change for this season – the TATRY CARD will be available for every tourist staying in the High Tatras for at least one night. The card used to be related only to certain kinds of stays or packages in the past and given to tourists staying for at least two nights in the region. When choosing the partners who decided to join our project and offer discounts on their services or products, we paid special attention on the fact if the given services were attractive for the clients and the clients could be interested in using them. Fixed discounts of 5 – 10% are not appealing for active tourists anymore. We base our assumptions on the experience of previous years which showed that the discounts must be much higher. That´s why we have managed to push them up to 50% at some facilities. We have focused on families with children mainly as they form the majority of our clientele. However, keen cyclists and lovers of alpine hiking will be pleased as well.
What are the most popular and sought-after attractions due to the discounts offered?
It´s definitely cableways, water parks and gastronomy facilities. But there are also attractive discounts on products and services at selected sports shops or wellness and relaxation centres in the High Tatras and the neighbourhood. And much more. Clients enjoy lower prices in museums and galleries, on a bobsleigh track, in a rope park, on a climbing wall or when playing bowling. We, local Tatra people, have realised that we have to join our forces to make the tourism work; and offer the holidayers something that would make their stay much more attractive. The TATRY CARD is a complex project that helps entrepreneurs in the Tatras get new clients and tourists experience things they wouldn’t be able to afford without the card. I hope everybody will be satisfied in the end.
