22ND TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS FAIR IN POPRAD<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 22nd<\/sup> edition of the traditional Christmas Fair on St. Egidius Square in Poprad takes place from 5th<\/sup> to 21st<\/sup> December 2025<\/strong>. This year, the fair will last for an extended period of 16 days<\/strong>, offering locals and international visitors a truly festive experience. Roughly 60 beautifully decorated wooden stalls<\/strong> will line the square, filled with Christmas-themed products made by craftsmen from across Slovakia, a wide selection of refreshments and hot drinks, as well as food trucks serving traditional as well as original delicacies. During the most popular days of the fair, the centre of Poprad will come alive with a varied accompanying programme<\/strong>, featuring folk performances, local traditions and concerts by popular music bands<\/strong>. The programme will take place every Friday and Saturday<\/strong> throughout the duration of the fair. As part of the Poprad Christmas celebrations<\/strong>, visitors can also look forward to a special Christmas mini town<\/strong>, where an additional 10 stalls<\/strong> will offer a variety of festive goods and refreshments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The magical Christmas atmosphere<\/strong> is enhanced by vibrant Christmas decorations<\/strong> \u2013 considered among the most beautiful in Slovakia. Glittering light arches, fairy-tale ornaments, illuminated photo points and the inviting scent of mulled wine and mead create an enchanting scene that draws thousands of visitors every year. Poprad has truly become a symbol of Christmas beneath the Tatras<\/strong>. Throughout the Advent season<\/strong>, Poprad will also host a range of special events, including the traditional Tower Advent Concerts<\/strong> held on St. Egidius Square every Advent Sunday at 6:00 p.m., starting on 30th<\/sup> November<\/strong> and concluding with the fourth concert on 21st<\/sup> December 2025<\/strong>. The Christmas Eve Tower Concert<\/strong> is scheduled for 24th<\/sup> December at 9:30 p.m.<\/strong> Visitors can also enjoy free public ice skating<\/strong> during the festive days or take memorable photos at the Christmas photo corners<\/strong> dotted around the town. From January 3 to January 4, a Charity Village will be set up in the center of Star\u00fd Smokovec, near the church, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This charitable event is held to mark the conclusion of the commemorative year honoring the 30th anniversary of the visit of Pope John Paul II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
