Explore the hiking trails in the High Tatras and discover 13 alpine chalets, offering breathtaking views of majestic peaks, expansive valleys and blue-green tarns.
The chalets are ideal to rest during strenuous hikes, refresh oneself or even stay overnight, except for Rainer’s hut, the smallest chalet in the High Tatras, which offers only refreshments.
12 chalets are open all year round: Bilík’s chalet, Rainer’s hut, Zámkovský’s chalet, Téry’s chalet, Zbojnícka chalet, Skalnatá chalet, Chalet at Zelené pleso (tarn), Plesnivec chalet, Sliezsky dom mountain hotel, Majláth’s chalet, Chalet at Popradské pleso (tarn) and Chalet below Mt Solisko. The Chalet below Mt Rysy is an exception as it is only open during the summer season from 1st June to 31st October and closed for the rest of the year.
These alpine chalets are supplied by mountain load bearers, a world rarity, which makes the chalets truly unique.
If you want to experience an unforgettable night in a chalet in the embrace of the Tatra nature, don’t forget to book your accommodation in advance – the capacity of accommodation in the chalets is limited.
