Zamkovský’s chalet (Zamkovského chata) is located in Malá Studená dolina (valley) at the altitude of 1,475 metres above sea level. It is the lowest-located high-altitude chalet, making it easily accessible for tourists of all ages. The route to the chalet is easy and leads from Hrebienok along a red-marked trail running towards Skalnaté pleso, taking approximately 1 hour. When walking along it, tourists can enjoy the beauty of Obrovský vodopád (waterfall). From the chalet, you can continue to Téry’s Chalet or Skalnaté pleso.
Zamkovský’s chalet is open all year round and offers not only refreshments but also comfortable accommodation. Due to its excellent location, it is popular with young and old tourists alike and families with children as well. For the youngest visitors, there is a children's playground next to the chalet and a play corner inside.
Jana Kalinčíková had been the chalet keeper since 1996 and became its owner in 2003.
