A cable car to Skalnaté Pleso
A cable car operates in the lower section from Tatranská Lomnica(903 m above sea level) to Skalnaté Pleso (1,751 m above sea level). Skalnaté Pleso is one of the most popular locations in the Tatras and a good starting point for several hiking trips. One can go to the valley of Malá or Veľká Studená dolina in the direction of Hrebienok or to Zelené pleso (tarn) across Mt. Veľká Svišťovka. Children love the eco-mini-park called Marmot Land located in the area of Skalnaté Pleso, which offers various adventures and stories of the educational trail Tatra Wilderness.
