Seven kilometers below the Tatra Mountains, with a touch of medieval history

The running loop begins at the Cultural Center in Štrba and continues through the village streets toward the water tower. It then moves into the open landscape beneath the Tatra Mountains, crosses the D1 highway twice, and leads to the site of the abandoned medieval settlement of Šoldov. It then returns to the center of Štrba along an asphalt road.

The course measures exactly 7 kilometers and has a gently undulating profile with a total elevation gain and loss of 95 meters. Most of the surface is paved, supplemented by gravel sections. Thanks to its technically undemanding nature, it is suitable for a leisurely run, regular fitness training, and a brisk pace.

Course Route

The run starts at the Cultural Center in the center of Štrba, and you’ll head toward Tatranská Štrba along Dr. Markušovského Street. After passing the bus stop by the cemetery, turn left and continue along Martina Benku Street to the edge of the village.

At the field, turn north. After about 150 meters, below the water tower, continue left on the gravel-and-asphalt road heading west.

The road crosses the D1 highway and, past the gas station, continues straight to the intersection with a gravel road. Turn left onto that road and head south toward the abandoned medieval settlement of Šoldov.

Near Šoldovo, you’ll join the paved road leading back to Štrba. Follow Československej armády Street until you reach the finish line at the Cultural Center, where the 7-kilometer loop ends.
