Enjoy great spring skiing adventures on 24 km of ski pistes – 13 km of easy blue pistes, 10 km of more difficult red ones and the 1.2 km-long highest located black piste between Lomnické sedlo (saddle) and Skalnaté Pleso. 20 km of slopes with man-made snow guarantee skiing for 5 months per year.
The biggest cross-country skiing complex of Štrbské Pleso is available also in spring – 6 professionally groomed tracks of various difficulty levels with man-made as well as natural snow.
Beautiful views of snow-covered peaks of the Tatras are attractive for tourists also in spring. Tourist trails that run to 12 alpine chalets are opened all year round and others are going to be available after 15.6.2019.
The second highest peak – Mt Lomnický štít, the popular area of Hrebienok and Mt Solisko are all accessible with comfortable cable cars, funiculars and chairlifts.
Spoil yourself during your holiday and stay at a unique complex that offers more than just relaxation. Thermal water that spring as deep as 1,300 metres contains more than 20 minerals that are beneficial for human health. Recharge your batteries in the modern year-round water park of AquaCity Poprad – a unique centre of water amusement and wellness relaxation at the foot of the Tatras.
Natural and historical museum expositions of the Tatra National Park, skiing, photography, cinematography and history of the region are ready to welcome you in all weathers. Spring is also rich in events. Projects such as Tatra Temple of Ice and Tatra gallery of ice masters in Hrebienok are going to be closed from 22.4.2019. However, other regular events will be offered instead, e.g. Happy Easter in Štrbské Pleso, Easter water pouring at AquaCity Poprad, Easter town in Nový Smokovec, “Krčmár skap” ski touring race and burying of skis, May festivals, May ball and retro celebrations of 1st May, running races of the “Tatry in Motion” series and the “Karpatské preteky kuriérov 2019” (UCI 2.2U) cycling race.
