MONTE MORY CAFE – Štrbské Pleso

The Little Tower Above Nové Štrbské Pleso
Designated as a national cultural monument
The Tatra Mountains, the Poprad Valley, and the Low Tatras
A café with a historic view
MONTE MORY CAFE is located in the observation tower above Nové Štrbské Pleso, which Karol Móry had built in 1905. The tower offered a beautiful view of the peaks of the High Tatras, the Poprad Valley, and part of the Low Tatras.
Later, the tower was inherited by Ján Móry, who rebuilt the wooden observation tower into a brick structure. After the Móry family left Štrbské Pleso, the tower began to fall into disrepair, but it underwent extensive renovation between 2013 and 2018.
Today, it serves as a café with a view that honors the site’s history and offers visitors a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere of this fascinating Tatra landmark.
