Sledding from Hrebienok

The toboggan run from Hrebienok to Starý Smokovec is the oldest and longest groomed toboggan run in Slovakia

With a total length of 2.5 kilometers. Take a comfortable ride on the ground cable car to Hrebienok and slide down the groomed, illuminated track all the way to Starý Smokovec—fun for the whole family and groups of friends.

In addition to daytime sledding, available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., there’s also a unique nighttime sledding experience available every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets cover the cable car ride—sledding itself is free. You can rent classic or sports sleds on-site directly at the Tatry Motion shop at the lower station of the cable car.

The track is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Nighttime Sledding: Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, 7:00–9:00 p.m.

What do you need to know before you arrive?

Tickets are paid for the cable car ride

We recommend arriving early

Nighttime sledding takes place every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

You can rent both classic and sports sleds on site

Dress warmly and in layers

Parking is available at the train station in Starý Smokovec and in Nový Smokovec

The track is maintained and well-lit

Sledding is fun for the whole family, including children

The operation of the toboggan run depends on suitable snow conditions. You can check the current operating status on the vt.sk website in the slopes table—run number 13.

Operation of the ground cable car to Hrebienok

The cable car operates during the winter from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 30-minute intervals. The ride takes approximately 5 minutes. We recommend checking the current operating schedule before your trip.

Availability of Sled Rental

You can purchase tickets and rent sleds at the Tatry Motion shop at the lower station of the ground cable car in Starý Smokovec. During peak season, we recommend arriving early.
